Program Overview
The aim of ISRP-11 is to provide a forum for the discussion of developments and applications encompassing, but not limited to:
- Processes in radiation physics
- Quantitative X-ray and particle analytical techniques
- Absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy (XAFS, XANES, Raman…)
- Sources and detectors and simulation of radiation transport
- Materials Science and applications to minerals, mining and processing
- Medical Applications and Biology
- Applications to space, earth and environmental sciences
- Cultural heritage and art
- New technologies and industrial applications
It will include fundamental and applied topics, and will be a great opportunity to see the new Australian Synchrotron in action!
Presentation types
The meeting will include plenary talks, progress reports, hot topics and poster presentations. ISRP-11 will consist of both oral and poster sessions. The oral sessions will include invited and contributed papers. The latter will be selected by the Scientific Programme Committee. A prize for the best young researcher paper presented orally will be given.
Abstract submissions are invited for
- Oral papers
- Posters presentations
Oral Paper
Oral papers report on original and significant work in research, development, applications or case studies in Radiation Physics. Oral papers will be evaluated on the basis of their significance, originality, and clarity of writing. The time allowed for each presentation will be 15 minutes including question time (10 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes question time).
Submissions should be no longer than 250 words (excluding title and other contact details).
Posters
Poster presentations must present reports of significant work in research, development, applications or case studies in Radiation Physics. The display space allocated for posters will be 841mm x 1189mm (AO).
Submissions should be no longer than 250 words (excluding title and other contact details).
Bursaries
A small number of bursaries exist for early career researchers. Just Register and then submit your abstracts. In the Abstract submission, tick the ‘Early Career Researcher’ box — i.e. student or first few years post-doc. Then you are automatically considered for the IRPS funds for Early Career Researchers.
Proceedings
The proceedings of ISRP-11 will be published in the fully-referenced journal NIM A.
